VOL.1 : Like a Ping Pong Ball
Like a Ping Pong Ball is firstly a translingual concrete poem by Jill Zheng.
In collaboration with poet Jonathan Mulcahy and sound artist Gavin Adair, the poem was brought to life with Jill's reading and the soundscape of Gavin's live looping and manipulation of Jill's voice, and the pings and pongs of bouncing table tennis balls on stage and in a fish tank curated and performed by Jonathan.
Like a Ping Pong Ball looks at the condition of being trapped in motion as a dehumanised object.
